    Hi guys

I am contemplating buying a MH pendant. Will a 250W be too strong for a 600mm cube?

depending on the type of tank you going for....
    sps-250w
Lps-150w/250w depending on what kind and how low they are and what globes you are going to use
    softies-150w

250 watt will be perfect, you can keep any light needing corals in this set-up and they will grow as long as everything else is in order.

150w will not be enough IMO.unless you only want softies.

Cool, thanks - 250W it is then. Would you supplement with T5's 20000K for a bit of illumination? I might go the LED route for sunrise/sunset.

Go with the 250W. If you add a 14000K bulb and two Actinic T5's for sunrise/sunset, that would be cool. Do you have a light pendant in mind? You must also take into consideration the reflector as this needs to be broad to distribute the light all over the tank
