I got a new CFL sump light this weekend. It is a 45w CFL cool white Eurolux at 2700lm. But when I got home and could check their website, I saw that it is 4000K. Bummer

I had a 20w Philips cool daylight 1200lm and 6500K. I had a string of caulerpa growing under this globe.

I did add a ball of Cheato last week Wednesday.
Which light will be better for the cheato?

The higher the wattage/output, the better Riaan - I too had my chaeto under a CFL for a long time - then the light stopped working - so I replaced it with 2 x 50 watt 12 volt halogen globes (those that are used as the "sunken lights" in house's with slab's (down-lighters).....
Now - my chaeto GROW LIKE THERE IS NO TOMORROW!

No Riaan - if you want, you can use Lumens to measure. I have never really used lumens.... Only the actual wattage.....
So - no, it's not what I meant. BUT, if you say that they are both 60 lumens per watt - then you can use any of the 2.
