Where to buy LED's

    Where do I buy LED's from overseas to do a DIY job.

    Cool... Bit complicated. Do I need to get a whole kit? Or just buy the LEDs?

    @Gazzer , rather buy a kit from Rapid-led , instructions for build is on their site , they try to keep builds as simple as possible

    I have a 6ft tank. 1.8 X 0.6 X 0.65high

    Gees , you'll need 3 x (6''x20'') heat sinks , each unit holds 36 leds . Each unit will cost around 350$ plus shipping and import duties/tax. You could get away with just 2 unit if you don't have to many sps.

    rather do a multichip build much easier and simpler and cost effective.

    Use rapidled.com, but I wouldn't bother importing the heat sinks because of the shipping weight. You can use local components (I used aluminium U-channel) at a fraction of the cost.

    Also check out the solderless kits on rapidled. Think I might go for these on my new build. Only slightly more expensive but a lot less effort!
