Where do you Shop? (Joburg only please)

Just wanted to find out where you guys shop for your stuff because I am bord of seeing the same shop over and over

then i am going to try Dorry Pets
 
I've bought a couple of stuff from Dorry Pets before!
And I'm always very satisfied with his products, service and prices!
 
what shop do you go to?

if you haven't already you should try exotics in boksburg, very nice selection but a bit on the pricey side...

there's also animal kingdom in pretoria and jo'burg but last time i was there their marine section was a bit depressing...
 
hey guys

im driving up to joburg today for the weekend, and am contemplating visiting a few shops if I get the chance. Im staying in lonehill, are there any decent places around there? Durban only has one decent marine shop, would like to see a bit of variety. And if I see something cool that would survive the 6 hour drive I just might get myself a prezzie :)

just make sure its the last place visit before leaving for home and carry an empty cooler box to keep the bagged fish in - the should be ok keeping their temp constant - and go the extra time when acclimatising the coz of the long trip - happy shopping!
 
Definately make the trip to idol marine, well worth it (Midrand)

Exotics is also worth a visit. (Boksburg)

Pet Masters is great for hardware but they know k@k about LS. (Boksburg)

There is a shop behind greenstone shopping centre that is new, they stock only fish for now but they are expanding. The owner is a relative of SIMS and is very open to knowledge about LS etc. Their prices are quite good too (Edenvale)
 
Dan are you looking in anything in particular - coz if you open up a wanted list thread maybe some of the members have something you looking for or know which sponsor to go to - try it - you will be surprised you might not have to travel too long if you have an idea where to get what - maybe some members have some frags cheap cheap!

thanks chiks, dont have anything in particular in mind. i have just added some shrooms and hydnophora this week which i got from atilla as it is, i was just wanting to browse around a bit and see what jbg has to offer. not on a mission to get anything specific :)
 
then theres also Nemo's in allens nek- but there's hardly any stock there.
ummm ...Lifestyle have a small selection- off beyers naude.
Also the nursery in Little falls has a small selection....But id Reccomend VIP Northgate the way to go..Enjoy

True but they Never have stock of inverts or corals etc... I shope there too... only cause i lve 2 mins down the road :p

Should have a chat to them and tall em to start jacking up that back fish room....Il be there all day if they did that!!!

then Dorry Pets & VIP for everything else ...

Dorry Pets has the greatest service, i just live to far away
