Where do you get an RO system in Joburg?

Where do you get an RO system in Joburg? What brands are recommended. I will probably have to fit it to the copper pipes under my kitchen sink, has anyone done this?

Hi gaboon, you can get one from Milli at eco equatics or you would be able to find at Exotic in Boksburg. Both the waterboy system and Deltec are good makes.
 
yeah dude.the waterboy systems are awsome!always spares etc...readily available

Sorry Gaboon but do not use copper pipes only plastic pipes will sufice. copper is deadly to inverts.
 
Tridan said something very interesting. Just about all ro systems is plumbed to the pipes in the building its used. Very few buildings does not use copper pipes! What happens to the copper that comes into the water?
 
Copper ions are removed by the RO unit, along with all the other ions.

Running a DI resin stage as well will take out last remaining ions.
 
Thanks for clearing that up palmerc i might just be a paraniod andriod , but if only plastic pipes are used from your main feed then will it not add to the life of the filter membrane's.
