When is the best time to do your weekly parameter tests?

    Before or after water change?
    Before or after adding additives?
    Morning or evenings?

Any other factors that could impact the results?

Just a discussion for the benefit of newbies.

I do mine the morning before I feed and before a water change.
Then I do another test the day after again in the morning before feeding time. But I only do this if some of the parameters was not correct the previous day.

Before water change, test new water, adjust mix to bring tank params in line and then a few hours after change to check my calculations. This however only applicable to major ions we worry about like Mg, Ca and Alk, and of course Salinity.
I believe its vital to check Salinity and pH of mixing water before adding to tank.
