Hey guys, thought this might be interesting:

What is your favorite coral and why?

If possible, please submit a photo of it...

    I'll start:

My favorite is Metallic Green Star Polyps.
Why? They are so beautifully colored like many SPS, yet they actually have give some motion to the tank. I love the to and fro movement of it in a nice current.

Mine is pink Hysteryx, although I don't have one.I love the haphazard growth pattern, but overall symmetry. I also enjoy the sharp, delicate growth tips.

I love my branching hammer. The flowing movement it has when it's fully extended is so soothing

Favourite: Ricordea (yuma or florida, but the yumas have nicer colour), without a doubt.
Why: Well just look at them, stunning, absolutely stunning.

Cant remember when last I saw a ric; forget about nice ric just a ric at a shop here in CPT.

I am also very interested in Blastos and Acans, but dont have any because they are hard (well closer to impossible) to find especially if you live in CPT...

It is indeed difficult to choose , but here are my two favourites:

    1. Blastomussa , due to their bright colours . Just right for my little Nano;)

    2. Tubastrea (Sun coral). Once again , the colours are amazing, especially when this coral is fully expanded.

On my current wishlist , I have the following:

Lord Acans - Brilliant colour under the actinics.
