What's this?

    Can someone please ID this? It appeared out of nowhere next to the lobe coral and has grown to about 2cm across.

    It would be good to see the base - how it attaches to the rock ?
    But i grew those , just more red in a softy tank - to me its a Macro algae.
    D
    Could be a sign that your water needs to be skimmed more or more water changes are necessary - or a low kelvin light is being used. ( only because that's what i was experiencing when i grew them )
