Tank bred what? Are you refering to clowns?

Tank bred they are used to a life of captivity so acclimatization is easier, usualy parasite free and no damage is done to the wild populations.....there are more reasons than just these...

Hmmm not sure why they charging R20 more, I reckon most clowns are captive bred now a days, sounds like a con to me...if they are locally bred clowns then they usually even cheaper than the imported ones so it still seems odd.

I saw online that the captive bred are more expensive overseas as well.
My thought exactly that we should pay less.
I checked at Panarama Pet Centre here in Parow and they said R100.00 each
I think sams aquarium is selling for R65 and Perky R85.

But....if the animals are really healthy looking and eating then R20 extra is well worth it....

But keep what Kunhardt said in mind and dont let them rip you off.

Ya, there is a guy that sends captive bred clowns here some times and they usually go for R90-R100, while imported ones seem to go for R120-R150...I take it we are talking about Ocellaris right?

Captive Bred clowns should be priced much higher than Wild Caught.

    1. You are saving wild stock
    2. you get a disease free fish
    3. the fish is used to captive conditions and eats froze food with no hassles

Captive bred fish are the ethical and practical way to go.

Panorama says they are selling for R100 I highly doubt they are Captive bred fish and if they are would love to know where they are from
