i take it you are referring to the fuzzy growth inbetween the heads/ if so its a sponge.. its good thing.

Yip, definitely a encrusting sponge! Just watch it, some encrusting sponges could overgrow basically everything, killing your precious corals eventually. Looks like it killed a few of you're coral heads already... I would watch it closely and remove if necessary!

It looks a bit dodgy as it seems to be growing up the stalks towards the heads of the coral.

btw, looks like an awesomely huge hammer coral there, must look great when it is open :)

Ya, does look miff. Thanks, will remove it.
The hammer is about the size of a soccer ball.

normally using a power head will do the trick, they r very brittle, if that does not work, take the euphyllia out and clean it by hand
