    Hi

I just introduced a new coral and a star fish in my tank. All was fine for bout two hour but now all of a sudden my tank has become really mirky. Could it be the new guys? The fish seem ok. I have attached a pic of the coral. [IMG]

Hi , from the pic , i cant see a problem , could help with a before and after shot to see how it was...
Did you take water out of your tank to drip the starfish ?
Maybe you see, micro bubbles from the water level being low ?

But for a newly bought colt , it looks fine.

    Thanks
    David

Sorry don't have a before and after pic. But its so mirky now that I can't even see threw the lenght of my tank. The guy I got the star fish from said I didn't have to drip it. And I didn't.
The starfish is red and white in colour.
I didn't do any water changes either

Take a glass of the tanks water and let it settle for 20 minutes- if it clears its just micro bubbles , if not , Masa members might have more suggestions.

The tank will loose water through evaporation , maybe its just coincidence that you need to top up 2 hours after the intro of stock...

Turn off the protein skimmer for a hour see if it clears.

Do you have Prime or any other aditives on hand ?

I think you should post all your tank parameters preferably taken now and let's see.

Don t know why the person said you didnt need to drip acclimatize the coral and starfish you added...

Doesn't matter what you put in your tank it must be dripped and acclimatized for at least 2 hours.
