keen to run a nano tank with a vortech on the base and covered with rockwork, i saw a thread on RC where a guy did it but he changed it coze it wasnt working out for him, but i think its still a good idea and no pumps to be seen at all.

A shoreline tank, with beach/rock comming out the water on one side and water mimicing the tides.

sounds good, nice idea.. a prob i see with this is the evap would be mad, and the sand blowing every where, but something i would try

i do this already :) been using it for a year now and everything is happy

lions are reef friendly, they just like small fish and shrimps

that i can help with if u decided to go ahead

as an example, a 3m x 800 x 600h, with water at 500mm you can use 10mm with a safety of 4.2, and if you braced the center and mid sides bowing wouldnt be a problem

yeah the dimentions i want are 3m x 700 wide x 500 high and water level at 450, with a skinny overflow system.

would prefer to have euro bracing all round but not fat bracing.

also want to build a wave box like idol marine.

    and 2x vortechs for flow.

but the whole building it scares me, i have the design perfect in my head
