What Skimmer to buy

    Hi All

    So i am buying a 60x60cm cube

    and can't decide on the skimmer

    Its about 270lt with sump

    My budget for the skimmer is around R2000

    Any recommendations?

    2 VERY IMPORTANT THINGS...

    1.NEEDS TO BE VALUE FOR MONEY

    2. NEEDS TO BE VERY VERY SILENT as it is in my bedroom

    I think the vertex way out of my price range

    is the TS1 silent?

    Depends on the age and condition, but generally they're quiet.

    Bubble Magus curve 5. I have my system running in my bedroom and I cannot hear it. It also works like a beast, it looks cool and its good value for money.

    Got mine from @bryan from Jungle Aquatics.

    @brettb2020 . Is your tank heavily stocked? I'm interested in getting me the curve 5 but never saw this skimmer in action yet. I'm busy setting up a 1200x600x550 and would like to know how heavy I can stock the tank.

    TS1- Waterflow in my tank is louder than the skimmer

    Agreed ....they are awesome skimmers and does a good job. I would suggest you purchase it new then you know the pump is 100%. I am more than happy with mine:thumbup:

    Ok so it looks like between the bubble Magnus and Ts1

    Pretty much what I had in mind!

    Both seem to be very quiet

    Any other views on the sound
