    Hey guys,

what putty type substance can I use to glue together smallish chunks of rock?

I am planning a new scape for my nano, using lots of smaller pieces of LR to get exactly the shape I want...

Are there any pratleys etc that are safe in the tank?

    Many thanks,
    D

Pratleys original is safe. I've used it lots in my tanks.

Normal pratleys works well. I find it works better if you let it set a bit before you put it under water

if you are going to build your liverock up before putting in tank you could use white cement to piece together

On slightly bigger rock work some use wall plugs. The red ones. Drill each rock and stick together with the plug. This way it is not so permanent and scaping changes can be done later with relative ease.

Whats the best way to use apply the pratley? Should you let it start setting befor applying it?
Or apply it give it a few min and then put the rock back? how long dise it take to set?

This is one area i have stayed away from but id like to learn more about it.

Thanks for all the feedback guys! I'm going to give pratleys a shot. I'll be starting off with fresh dry rock, so not bothered about the time to set.

Nemosjanitor. You have way too much knowledge in this hobby. I don't think I've seen a single post where I haven't been thinking... "Damn, this guy knows his stuff!"
