For those that know me know my system is probably as automated as you possibly can get. So I go overseas for ten days and the GF gels me something is wrong the Pin as she calls it (cushion) and the "grass" GSP isn't opening.

So get @Chris Franky who is a real mate and always willing to help to go check the system. N03 0.25 P04 0.04 everything is fine ....

Get back and things are in a bad state none of the sps Polyps are out! Do a barrage of tests -

    Mg 1079
    KH 11
    Cal: 200

What happened - my C02 bottle finished while I was away ..... In the 10 days the sps etc in my tank sucked every last bit of elements out the tank.

So then I did got some C02 forgot I had the valve fully open and connected it went outside to check the reactor and has way to many bubble coming out into the reactor. From the time I went outside to back inside I hear a large bang!

The pressure build up blew the lid off the calcium reactor. Clean off it cut the head of the reactor off the acrylic seal! Lucky it's a clean break going to use some acrylic glue to see if I can get it to work or anyone else got any ideas ?

In the mean time a mate is always a mate @Adee thanks for saving me with some calcium chloride at the wee hours of the evening. Over the night did Mg waited two hours and then did calcium. 4am all parameters were back to normal. The wonders of jet lag allows you to be up at stupid hours of the morning.

Ai ai ai ai ai - and the tank was growing like you can't believe. I think I am going to have some serious casualties in the sps department some are really looking sad like my 40 table acro :(.

Dude my tank drinks 1l of that aquavitro 8.4 in 14 hours. That's just to maintain it at a PH of 8.4. Just not economical. Was running kalk but it use to go through 25l of Ro with kalk in two days and effect my salinity.

For the month I dished out the cash and got the ph at 8.4 the corals went mad with growth.

Why not run both. Just let the RO top up run through the reactor when its needed to do a RO top up. and let your controller do the 8.4 dosing.

This is what it looks like I am going to be forced to do. Run a kalk stirrer during top up and ph probe monitoring 8.4 while still dosing with calcium reactor. I have more reactors than an Iran nuclear facility
