Hi guys I'm running a 600 litre tank at the moment and I've got a 1000 monster also still waiting to be filled

The new tank is 1800x700x700 so my question is I got 2x200w hetal halides standing around and on my current tank I have 3x150w metal halides with 4x24w t5 tubes, which will be better?

And I'm looking to keep mixed tank, mostly lps and sps,

Hi i see no one has botherd to reply. I believe you sould go wit LED if you can. The metal halides are the best rout to go if you can only use your old equipment. The electriciry is theonly drawback.

Halides are the best option for you as a student now, you have them. Electricity costs are high.
T5's are great, just need enough across the spectrums.
LED's at this stage are initially to expensive, and you need the spectrums.
