If you have a power outage and you dont have a battery powered air pump the hydrogen peroxide can be dosed in your tank to provide oxygen.

Dallas can give you more detail about the amounts and safety etc.

I found out on Wednesday how quickly one can buy a UPs and Generator.

Power went out at 1pm, phoned eskom they said it would take up to 24 hours to get up and running.

went to Makro bought a generator and a UPs and got the whole tank up and running as well as the TV...lol

    by 4pm.

Also use the Alert sent by ADT for Power failures as a signal to get home and get the generator on.

    lol

Thanks to the person who helped themself to my generator, I had a nice one in a wendy house in my back yard, it hadn't even gone through a full tank of fuel and someone decided they needed it more than I did. The insurance told me that because I didn't have a padlock on the room that they won't pay out - brilliant...It was a very happy Christmas for someone because it was brand new and I left the keys in it - key start, flipping decent size...it kills me to even think about it.

Yep I personally think there are going to be outages in June/July. The mere fact they have asked us to please only have one light on and the TV tells a story and I have noticed lately that various areas are having blackouts. SO BE PREPARED!!!

Why put tracker on the dog, I tied wire to a 30cm piece of hose, then shoved the hose in my Rotweilers to keep him quiet - no beacpressure for the bark. 15m piece of wire, 20m to the gate, so when I hear my Rottie barking - I GO LOOK WHAT HE IS EATING!!!!:lol::lol:

Not cool on the outages thing, UPS's and generators are going to be needed very soon...I worry because I don't have either right now...

In case of emergency (like the 2 days in a row Eishkom let me down and you dont have UPS and petrol in your gennie) I have found the old fashioned method of putting your head twixt your knees and kissing your ass goodbye is useful ( please note, 2 knees and 1 ass is needed for this experiment ;))
