For interests sake state your wattage and list the items driven by it.

    System Volume - 500 litres.
Power used - 130W excluding heater...Jager heater alone is 300W but very seldom on as the temp in the room is very stable at around 25 deg.

    Tunze Return
    2x Tunze 6095 @80%
    Fuge Light
    JNS Cone 2 Skimmer
    Illumina SR260 300mm @ 60%

So 430W total for a 500 litre system...

Good answers guys. I see light and heating being the main wattage consumers. Im looking to identify where I can save on my new system. And im possibly going to be running a 1700lt system off of 700w..

thats the plan anyway.. will do calcs on current system in the am and post..

    130L tank

    Heater - 150w
    LED unit - 120w
    9004 skimmer - 4w
    Tunze 6015 - 3.5w
    Jeboa Wp10- 10w
    Return pump - 20w
    HOB filter 3.5w

311W in total with everything on.
With heater off and LEDs running on about 70 percent I would say about 125W

I bought an energy monitor from builders, plugs into wall, then your stuff into it. Very nice to optimise power consumption
