JUst wanted to get a consensus feel for usage of Daily Calcium and Alkalinity on an SPS reef and what do you use to keep the values on par. What levels do you strive to keep the balance at?

Before my Carx I was using 470ml of alk solution daily as well as my kalk stirrer. Was dosing 350ml of Ca per day. I keep my levels at 420 Ca, and my alk is stable at 9.9. Mg is stuck on 1350. I have a sps dominated system.

it changes weekly as the sps grow you will need to adjust your values, some weeks the sps grow more than other weeks

If you are dosing then testing about twice to three times a week is necessary. When a new carx is added then you will test a little more often, until your parameters stable out. Unfortunately this is the name of the game. These days I test weekly for Alk and once a month for Mg and Ca

trying to case numbers was also blowing my mind. so i adjusted levels manually to desired levels and checked dailiy and adusted dosing accordingly till i find the balance.

The key is to use the same stock sollution the everytime.
