What is this?
Could it kill a leather coral?

My guess is first a flatworm, secondly a Nudi but otherwise if stationary a sponge however I doubt it!

It does move. It prefers the shady areas and not bright light.
It was on the bottom of the same rock as yellow leather coral that suddenly died after I had it for 2 months. It had a cut in it's stem and it started to dissiolve in 1 week's time.
It doesn't look like a nudibranch to me when I compare it with photos on Wikipedia?
It does not have a tail or head.
I will try to take a better picture.

Imo this could very well be a flatworm!

Untill it can be correctly ID'd i would suggest doing so! Nudi's and Flatworms are generally something you would not want in a reef!

and when you take it out, please place the small rock with it in a small bowl and take pics then. a clear pic is very useful in ID:)

also make sure you can find it again in your sump if you have to! :)

I agree it's a nudi... but (personally), I'd keep it... but maybe that's just because I don't like how fast leather corals grow! :p J/K!
