A diatom bloom is part of the initial tank cycling process.
It's simply algae, feeding off the excess of nutrients that are available in the water.
I used tap water to fill the tank, so it'll be full of phosphates.
This causes a bloom, since the diatoms feed off the nutrients in the water.

It should settle a bit in the next few weeks.
Once the tank has cycled and I've added a clean-up crew, they will eat what's left.

Have you changed anything else recently?
Are you exporting nutrients by means of any sort of macroalgae in a refugium?
    How often are you feeding?
Where do you get your RO from?
