How often should one replace the Blue/White PL24's?

    How do I know when?

They have the same lifespan as T5 tubes. So some will say once a year, otherwill say 18 months. I have pl tubes and after replacing the old ones after 18 months i could not see a noticible diference.

    Hey Meneer

I have PL36W and change every 10 to 12 months just to be on safe side, i left mine in once for over a year and a half and found that the globes themselves were running hotter than when at 10-12 month stage , not sure of reason, and in any case get them quite cheap as well so not expensive exercise once a year
