    Morning all

I need some info, I received this beautiful Coral with my tank, for the life of me I cannot remember the name. my question is, last night one of the heads closed up and out came these hair things
After a few minutes I found the thing in the last picture floating in the tank, what was it doing, what is the floating thing that came out of it? It was very cool to see though. After all that the head opened again if nothing happened. O and if someone can please give me the name it will great.

Torch Coral...either pooping or adjusting to you'r lighting...most likely that..nothing to fear...mine done the same when I got it...mine was dark brown and broke up instantly in the water...you'rs is lighter in colour and seems to be "solid"...hmmm maybe another opinion would be better..

Belinda is right. Its just expelling waste, aka pooping.

    Torch Coral (Euphyllia glabrescens).
Should be careful when fiddled with as touching tissue periodically will cause tissue damage and can loose a head and direct flow as well. It will then also release that slime but think yours could be from settling or waste
