Guys just remember that the 2oceans water is a little high in phosphates. Most guys won't even notice it tho if you've got a nice scrubber or fuge running macros. Always remember to call in first and ask the members centre if they're pumping in water or running closed system. If the water is bad then they go closed system for a few days and you cant get water. Its a bitch driving through and not getting anything!

If I'm lazy I collect from hout bay, and I've never had problems. Shocking considering the e-coli counts in our river were some of the highest in the country... its better now tho since they refitted the plumbing.

    holy potatoes... R750??? Thats ridiculous!

Anyway stop complaining. You can go and get stuff from your ocean and put it in your tanks. Hmph.

    Wow lol, anyways
@Dane... I have my 2m filled up from start with aquarium water an had low traces of phosphate an nt even runnin media yet, so maybe its every nw an then that its high, but highly unlikely...... So I'm more than happy to fill for free from 2 oceans instead of paying lol

my collection spot is less than five km from work, but it costs me a coldrink every time i collect and sit putting my shoes on while sipping on something cool.ha i love cape town! too far to go to the aquarium for me and then i haveto pay membership fee. i bought membership last year . i went into aquarium once and ive never collected water there. its a schlep to get into all that traffic.

JsPLAYn, if going saturdays & sundays make a bit more time....the line gets quite long as there are still certain shops collecting water there.

Also as for the pipe , make it a bit longer (sometimes there are aquarium vehicles parked making it difficult to get close)...a bigger diam pipe also cuts down on your filling time
