Just want to know, what would be the best flow for a 140l reef tank, want to have some sps and lps and softies.. the whole system is 175l's with the sump, its the same system as Gawiedj just with a sump.
Want to get the best posible flow for this system?

I would say a minimum of 30 times turnover and make sure you hit all those dead spots, so that no detritus settles.

30 Times is cool but some LPS may not like the hectic flow especially if its directional and not chaotic, random flow

Just one thing with LPS try get random turbulant flow but no direct flow

That should not be a problem. That said, I do feel it would be better to have your flow with smaller pumps. Say instead of 2x 5000 pumps, 3x3000 litre pumps or something. 5000 litres an hour on a smallish tank is pretty strong coming from one source. Just a thought to consider.
