O as my tank is cycling, I am starting to think of what I am going to need to keep SPS and LPS. My cube is going to be mostly a coral tank. ZOAS, Fog spawn etc etc

I have the basics carbon etc etc the main question though is what is needed to keep these guys. Do need all those reactors ?

nope, no need for all the reactors, just lights and good water.
start with LPS and soft corals, then move to sps

    mytank,

Dont take this the wrong way but... do some research on the different kinds of corals, LPS and SPS are more tricky to keep. Sounds like you dont yet know the difference (not that I'm an expert).

My suggestion is to start with the simple corals - Zoas, leathers, mushrooms and see how you go from there. I've tried keeping a frag or two of SPS in the past with some success, but I don't always have the patience and dedication to monitoring the parameters.

Lighting becomes more key once you go SPS and LPS. Strong lighting is required for the SPS stuff.

My advice is to stick to softies for now, see how you go and then look to introduce one or 2 frags and see how they perform and how commited you are.

    my 2 cents.

in most instances the lights we have in our systems determine the species we can keep...frequent water changes that most people do determine the quality of the tank parameters...and also the habitat we create...not the hardware we have behind the scenes or as some refer to the engine room...its the dedication to keep the tank parameters in place and the wright diets that keeps the live stock healthy...

SPS=Good lights, no Nitrates, adequate Ca, Kh, Sr, Mg, and everything the ocean has.;)
LPS=as above but can handle higher nitrates (not more that 10ppm).
Softies (Zoas, shrooms, etc) adequate lights and they love some Nitrates (up to 40ppm).

    Good Luck
