What do I have to do to get coralline algae to grow?

My tank is two months old and all parameters are normal and I just want to know what I have to do to get coralline algae to start growing in my tank.

 

6 months to a year

 

It depends mine started just over a month of having the tank running some time's guys seed there tank with a small piece of rock with coralline on it

 

These so called coralline additives don't do any thing imo

Hi,

I actually saw a video yesterday on rapid coraline growth. Basically, the guy takes a piece of rock with coralline and he scrapes it all off the rock and then blends it up with some magnesium, calcium and water from the tank. then adds the "Coralline Smoothie" to the water. The theory makes sense in that the broken up spores spread quicker like that. I was gonna try it this weekend but i am not sure just yet.

 

Mine took 2 weeks. On all my tank i had massive growth within a month. Once you have it you will actually wish you didnt as it depletes Mag and Ca like you have a full sps system. Im dosing 120lm Ca, 100lm kH and around 70ml Mg a day and i hardly have sps corals just about 5 or 6 frags
