    Howzit,

A good friend of mine is busy building a DIY led unit and he has some questions.

I referred him to the forums but the internet way to slow outside of Cape Town on the farm.

I know its better to use Warm white than using Cool What, Green and Red together as this will have the same affect as Warm White.

    He's questions is the following.

What is the benefit of the following colours. Cyan, UV, Royal Blue & Normal Blue

Is it better to go with Warm White or Cool White + Red & Green or just Warn White.

The colour he wants it more blue than white but still wants good growth and colour pop.

He will have a few more questions in the morning about drivers im going to send him as i don't know much the drivers i got with my LED unit.

    Thanks

    Jason

He also uses a secret colour for the other 10%;)
I also find 50/50 blue/white is a tad too blue and you lose some of the red coral colours.

To tell the subtle difference between colours like this requires a woman. Men can only see 7 colours and I find the difference between indigo and violet hard, put me down for six.

on my DIY unit I have 60% cool white - 6500k, 35% royal blue - 445-455nm and then 5% - UV. Im more than happy with that. My next build will be 60% cool white and 40% royal blue. Simple but effective.but I like keeping things simple. my 2 cents
