What colour is your Mini Carpet Anemone?

    Hi guys

Here is a pic I thought id share of one of my Mini Carpet Anemones - Lets bring some colour into this World. The mini carpet goes ultra orange under actinics - have a pic some where - will try and find one if anyone is interested.

Im keen to see what other colours of this species are out there. The other ones I have are blue, cerise, lilac and maroon. Im looking for a red one if anyone is willing to part with it

Thanks Guys. The carpets move around all the time and with the refraction of the glass its quite a challenge to get sharp pics.

Here is another pic of the blue and maroon ones

Thanks, the detail in the close up pics shows exactly how the carpets get their colours. If you look carefully the overall body structure is the same, but the tentacles form in different geometric patterns and the other noticeable changes are the small pigmentation disks on the tips of the tentacles.

Its amazing how much we miss with the naked eye

Wow, great picture. Got to go on that macro course.

I have a chocolate brown one with camo rim, a pink with yellow/green and a purple with green/yellow.

Len, you have a nano just like me.
Watch out for your fish with those "velcros of death".
In hindsight, I should not have mixed them with my small nano fish

    Nice carpets Len.

What is amazing about this species is that they all are unique in their geometric patterns and colourations.

As a matter of interest do your carpets also like to walk about - my blue one has now settled behind a rock of mushrooms

So far my fish has been good in avoiding them, only had one incident with my tail-spot swimming into the chocolate one on the the first day in a feeding frenzy. Survived, had a big scar on his face, but luckily heeled completely. He now stays at least 10cm away from them.

Do you rate them more dangerous than for instant a bubble tip?

Agree, the colours fascinates me, would easily add tons more, especially love the blue.

Mine walked a lot in the first week, now they have settled (not where I put them originally) and only move about 1 or 2 cm between night and lights on.

How big do they get? Was bargaining on 5 to 7 cm, but the chocolate one is no 10cm and growing...
