It works very well - (my fan over the sump) - I have NEVER had temperatures higher than 27 degrees in my tank....

I live in Kimberley and as you all know it gets pretty hot over here. I had quite a struggle with high temps untill I fitted two fans(240v PC Server Fans) on the back of my canopy, one blowing the other extracting. It dropped my temprature with +-4.8 degrees in summer. So ja, I would first use a fan and if that doesn't work, go the chiller route!

The Halea is a good make Mekaeel, with excellent back up service (They replaced mine within a day) but it seems they had problems with the heating/cooling one as it is discontinued according to the importer

Touch wood, no problems thus far with the new one

excellent.mines did give me problems though at first.the sensor failed but it was then replaced with a titanium sensor.i think thereafter all Haileas came with Titanium

no idea.all i know on my old system,after hooking it up the light account increased by +-R500.00

Same here, but only in summer time. In winter the lights make up for that
