Im itching for my next fix.....

I have a 20 gal cube, with a sixline wrasse being the only resident fish at this stage.

What can I add to the tank that the sixline wont attack, or wont attack my sixline?

Thinking a Royal Gramma or some sort of Goby?

How big is your setup? I think I should be able to add another peaceful fish, need a few opinions....

My Sixline killed a Royal Gramma within hours of introducing it to my tank (600L, lots of hiding places). You may have to take out the sixline for a while when putting a new fish in to let it establish itself. Pity you dont have a sump.

Thanks gaboon.....if that may be the potential scenario.....I would rather not chance it....maybe a bottom dweller like a goby of some sort?

Any small fish is a potential target to a territorial sixline. Your best bet is something bigger although your tank might not be suitable

Agree with gaboon on this one.

The sixline should be the last small fish you add to that size system.

stay clear of the dottybacks also and the grammas

maybe look at getting bicolour blennie or yellow watchman goby
add the new additions and then after say a day put the sixline back into the tank

Sixline and royal gramma will be bad news mine almost kill a royal gramma i had to quickly sump the gramma and return to lfs:(

my sixline also fights with my clowns so clowns not a option really unless total different colour...percula and tomato are not compatible....dotty backs ect will also be attacked

basically any fish that looks similar in colour or size will get hit unless you lucky so i also suggest take the sixline and sump him for a day until the new fish gets a bit settled.

Thanks for the answers folks....I will reaserch a small(cheap) Goby....else I guess Ill just keep on with the corals...

small open tanks seems to limit the stocking options...either too small or the fish will jump....didnt think that through as well as I thought....
