Hi Guys,

I've been noticing some very strange behaviour about my xenia's in my tank, I have a few separated collonies around, and all of a sudden without changing anything in my tank I will notice a few of them will just wither away into nothing, however the other colonies still florish ????

Please remember that I do not change anything in my tank, only water ???

Any ideas why this happens?

So to colnclude, some colonies are flourishing and some were florishing but then just die without any change or reason ???

Any ideas???

What fish do you have? The same happened to me and I caught my Coral Beauty munching away!

Sometimes the colony crashes for no apparent reason. If it's turning to mush then it's definately dying. They do tend to fare better at elevated p.H levels of about 8.4-8.5 with regular iodine and trace element additions.
