weird friendship

hi guys, dont know if anybody has seen this before but i find it quite interesting. currently keeping a domino damsel in my predator tank (lions & snowflake is still small) until the new tank has cycled (next month or so), for no reason the domino has teamed up with the snowflake and actually looks like he is "protecting" the eel....they are like 2 peas in a pod, the one doesnt move without the other, anybody had a similar experience.....or could the damsel just be following to get the scraps?

i think the eel isn't eatin it cause its way too big, but maybe the damsel is just stupid and thinks the eel is its mother or somethin. like the piglets with the tiger thing?
