Weird brittle star

    I was replasing my filter floss when i noticed my brittle star was climimg up the side of the tank.
    What could be the reson and the light is on in the tank.

    I don't think there is any specific reason for this.. maybe he is just climbing up the glass !! Some say that it is cos they are looking for food, I think you probably just disturbed him and he is making a get away !

    If he keeps doing it =then he is either hungry or you don't have enough hiding places for him and he has decided to move on.

    You shouldn't see your brittlestar much, they are reef grazer and if your reef is big enough he will disappear for months on end.

    I agree, I put 10 into my tank, never saw them again.

    Mine did that in the beginning once or twice, until they settled and I never saw them during the day again.

    I dont ever see him in the day nomaly, but now my water is all cloudy now as well?

    Hi Jason - how's your tank doing now? Water still cloudy? You might have had a bacteria bloom, or perhaps a "snowstorm" (calcium phosphate coming out of the water).....

    How does your parameters test?

    All is fine, everythings gone back to nomal.
    Parameters are alson fine.
