Barred gobys - not even on the list:p

They are very colourful and (as you saw) very active in small groups

Great fishes - before you ask not sure of prices, think R125 but please do not hang me if wrong

Hi Moolis, sorry i didnt go through the whole thread ..just through the list, and not trying to be pedantic but for the guys who google etc, would you mind posting scientific names.

I know of at least 3 different gobie species reffered to as "Barred Gobies"..and a million other names

My 2 C...BTW lekker stock, one or two things I would have liked for myself if I was in PTA ;)

    Hi Frans

Thanks for the tip, the guy posting is a IT not a REEFER:(. will train him over time:p, but first he must train me on the online shop, email and other technical aspects and new systems and programs I invested in. I need to know in the future and I need all the help I can get.;)

Regarding if you was here, I think it is only a longing for the WARM PRETORIA air and the blue craze.

Enjoy CT and Strong's for your business. I had to look through my books when we started (as ref. for a new shop) 7 years ago, WOW the 1st 2 years was DIFFICULT. After that it slowly got better so keep your head on the grinding stone;)

And again, get used to latin and everybody will know exactly what fish you have to offer. What i dont understand is, on every order list from your suppliers is the scientific name. So why not using it in the first place?

Because 90% of marine customers (currant company excluded) do not want to know that, they struggle to remember all the common names. We calculated that in 2009 we imported more than 600 different species of fish, inverse and corals.

That said - I love scientific names and that is the only way to order and communicate with suppliers, problem is people think I "praat in tale" and are adamant that I rather give them the common name.

Yes - I was in the SAP when typewriters did not use electricity. So to become comp. literate is a giant leap for me;)

If I look at the score board you might have a point:p
