Fans. Mine hit 29 once, then I added two 12V pc fans to the hood of the tank, conected to timers. Now it never goes past 25. Total cost R20...

Have a look at my TL-550 diy thread. I'm sure it is somewhere in there. Should explain how to do it...

Marjolein - Manic has hit the proverbial "nail on the head"..... Add some fans and open the hood of your tank for a while. Just check your salinity - as you WILL need to top up RO water MUCH quicker than normal! Temporarily - add a "normal" household fan to blow over the top of the tank, with the hood open......

Good advice from the guys. A fan and lifting the lid will do well. The PC fans are also a great help for those hot summer days

How did you do it that cheap? I paid R65 for a single 12V PC fan.

Matrix computer warehouse: R10 each. Was a huge pile of them. They been going for about 7 months now and no problems. They only running on 6 volts because if I put them up to 12 volts, my heater cant keep up with the cooling of the fans...
