Water restrictions in jhb

    I dont understand the logic behind the flat rate fining system, if im getting fined R1500 for washing my car, i might as well go big and stockpile water.

    It is sensless. There is plenty water lost thru what should have been planned maintenence. It just gets overlooked and turns in to unplanned.

    My concern is making sure we have ample RO water available. Leave alone needing to do a emergency water change.

    there must be quite a few leaking pipes in the city anyway losing alot of water

    with the rates I pay for water you tend to safe very fast.

    Water restrictions have been put into place all across the country. Scary how dry Limpopo and Mpumalanga is..

    Took this pic of the Crocodile River today at the Malalane gate.

    My friend that doesn't stay too far away.. had a burst pipe on his pavement water flooded the street completely. . They came 2 days after reporting it to fix it...

    I didn't have water for 4 days, cos they were trying to fix a leak. Lucky I had about 100L of RO.

    Sounds about right, bet a close to one meg got wasted and no one was held responsible for it.
