Hey guys, I just want to bounce something off you guys. Have a look at my parameters and bear in mind all test done with red sea and they are all nowhere near expired. I have been dosing with nopox and it brought my nitrates down to 4ppm and no further it however did nothing to my phosphates. A week ago I purchased an aqwa excel reactor and im running all in one bio pellets but its still to early to see results from that. The thing thats doing my head in, is that with phosphates being so high I should see a negative impact on my tank. Now, everywhere I have read it states that if your tank is flourishing with coraline algae then its a sign that things are good in your tank and that your setup is healthy and let me tell you I have an abundance of coraline algae ranging from red to purple/pink to white to green. I DO NOT have a single bit of hair algae or any sort of nuisance algae present in my tank. The corals that I have in the tank Namely: xenia; toadstool; maize coral;various morphs;Australian elegance;daisies;2 types of sea sponges;hammers;green star pollops;and even my purple tip anemone are doing well and new corals popping out and starting to grow. I have used other test kits from other reefers and came up with very similar figures for phosphates and nitrates. Looking forward to someone giving me ideas as to what the problems mite be.

as requested. Also just to add I dont use any form of salt mix because we have a company here that delivers 400L of filtered ocean water to me every 2 months.

    Ooh ok,
I thought those were some automated reports.

So you use test kits and then put the results in an app or spreadsheet?

Yeah its a app called aquarimate you can find it on android and i think apple as well. I use it to keep track of my water parameters, livestock, equipment, expenses etc. Really cool app i must say.

Nice to get info like this.

Is there a posabilites that the graphs can be put together?

Would love to see the relationship between the parameter changes.

Could you please also add the dates water changes were performed?

Yes the graphs can be colaberated into one graph with all the required information. Im using the app on my phone so its not going to show all the information unless I do multiple screenshots and post it up.

    Yes thank you.

I am interested to know what days you did water changes in that period.

Did not record when i did water changes. I do however remember that i did a 50% water change when i noticed the nitrate spike but that did not do much for the nitrates. My nitrates only started dropping after i started with the nopox

Try remember if you did water changes closet to 10 October and 13 Dec.

It is always beneficial to also record when changes are made to the tank. Water changes, lighting period change, additive dosing etc.
