If you are using a Salt mix you need to use RO water, normal tap water has too many impurities in it. You need to add the salt to the water. Put a pump in the container and let it run for at least 24 hours to mix. Never add water to salt.

I am sure one of our JHB Sponsors can help you out with RO water or the unit.

Well if you want to have a decent tank and not keep on killing everything and one that is not green all the time, then yes you must use RO water, distilled is also fine. Remember their is also all sorts of metals and chemicals in our tap water.

No, don't get confused with the FW tanks. You can use tap water with conditioner etc for them.

It is HIGHLY recommended to use RO water, but then if you really want to you can experiment but don't come crying as we will tell you I told you so.
