The bare bottom boys and girls will know that the secret is to keep gunk from settling. The problem with keeping all the gunk from settling on the bottom with the use of flow directed down and under, is that a lot of it settles on your precious porous live rock. Choking and suffocating.

For those of you using Zeo, you will have discovered that the constant mulm (bacterial growth) on all surfaces leaves a film that irritates no end. Like not polishing that Red Porsche of yours for a few years. The result... a pasty...anemic....oxidised...chalky... monotone.

    This is my solution

Its a kiddies toy, basically a huge syringe with about a two litre squirt. I have removed the foam outter sleeve. Purchased at Makro. Great for getting into those cracks and crevices. You decide how much flow is needed.

My kids love those things, spraying each other with pool water. Great idea for the tank, has way more volume and power than the turkey baster, just got to becareful around the big sticks :)
