I used Chemiclean to remove a stubborn green cyano that was taking over, I dosed it at 10am on Saturday, left my house at 3ish for a wedding with the tank looking cool. Arrived home at about 1am Sunday morning to dead SPS, dead snails, DEAD APTAISA, dead soft corals and fish swimming into the glass. I immediately placed the fish I could catch in a large cooler box that had some LR in. I thought it had something to do with a lack of oxygen but the fact that it killed all my corals before the fish makes me think otherwise. I followed the instructions by the book, added 2 large airstones etc. My LFS has my LR or DR in this case and the tank is drained to get rid of the smell in my apartment.

Think twice before you add sh!t like this to your tank, it works for some but not for others. Ended up losing all my corals, 1 clown, 2 shrimps and my passion for reefkeeping.

Thanks Les, appreciate it. Gonna think about things over the next few days. Moved all my fish into a 100L container so I'm technically running a nano now, 3 tangs and no skimmer.

No not another reefer, Gaboon really sorry for the losses man, this is terrible.
At the same time let it be a warning to others to be very careful of what they throw into their systems.

    sorry to hear this Gaboon,

Strange, I know of serveral people that have used it without any problems, did you not perhaps have a power failure?

Sorry to hear Nick. I feel especially bad because I suggested that you use it based on Robin's success with it. If there's anyway I can help I will.

Hey Tony, geez don't, I've been planning on using it for quite some time now.
lIghtly, I thought that at first but the fish would have died long before the corals. The only fish that died was doing well before getting sucked into a pump in the container.

    Thanks all for the support.

Anyways, I've got 3 tangs, 5 chromis, 1 clown, 1 sixline and 2 peppermint shrimps in a 100L container and no skimmer, how often should I do a water change and how much? 20L at a time?

As lIghtly and Tony said, it has worked for others, just be so careful and only as a last resort when adding chemicals like this to your tank. I smelt it just now, smells like detergent.
