I don't know of any second hand ones. The smaller Aquaria units are selling for around R1800. Probably cheaper depending on where you buy.

ANY tank can work as a nano, what you intend to keep will dictate how much mods you need to make or not to make on it though.

What did you intend to keep?

Generally i find having a hang on back skimmer worked wonders with nano's in my past experience. So if possible try to get a tank that can accommodate a hang on back skimmer.
But if not you could always just use an in tank skimmer or if no skimmer rely on frequent water changes.

Hehe howsit buddy, was great meeting you and alan at the show;)

Yeah my 680lt old school reef still running strong as ever just went quiet for the last year after i lost all my fish etc on the magnifica cube at the end of last year.
Have not done a single thing on the 680lt reef all year besides top up water and feeding!

On the Magnifica cube side, I've got crispins old bubble tip nennie so i guess the cube needs to be renamed but its living in my sump right now with two clowns only battling to survive as I had to redo the entire tank since it was beginning to crack for a number of reasons including my wall being too close to the back.

But the tank is rebuilt and filled up with water again, just going to let it cycle again properly then going to do a quick cycle so hopefully by next week can have some critters in there again.Ordered a stand etc finally.

I needed a breather but now i guess I'm back, actually more for the nennies sake because it has been going downhill slowly but surely so decided on going for an easy to manage set-up like my 680lt instead of ULNS.So softies and even LPS will be on the cards this time around.

Thinking of this whole bio cubes craze instead of vodka dosing, whats your take on it keith?

Going to run phosgaurd to keep po4 in check.

What kind of space issues do you have?
I would suggest anything between a 250lt - 400lt with water level around under 500mm is easy to start of with but if you restricted for space i'm sure you can get away with smaller just do your research properly first.

Cameron if i have to choose i will go for the 120 l bigger one. It just a matter of time then you want a bigger one. Rather start with the bigger one.
