Sammy - rather not post your cell number on here. You might get some really funny critters calling you. I will delete the number from your post.... People should rather PM you for your number.

BTW, is this the best option for my nano? I'm now sick of this poor skimmer that comes with the unit time for upgrade ? I'm thinking of the BH-100 ??? your thoughts ?

Sammy how do you intend to fit this unit to the Boyu TL550, oy reason why I'm asking is that I have the same nano. I'm in the process of buying a BH1000

Hi deepblue, Will I have problems on fitting the BH-100 ? I thought it would be an easy fit ? Should I rather look at the BH-1000 instead? I know its about double the price ? Please let me know?

Sammy - the higher the skimmer cup, the drier it would skim. Try and move the skimmer cup +-a cm or 2 at a time, and leave it for a day or so, until you get the required result.

The "rubber band" is there to "keep the skimmer cup" higher up.

Hi Sammy - when a skimmer is brand new, it does and can take up to a week before it really works well..... so - give it some more time.

By the looks of the pic, it still looks like your skimmer cup is too low. I would suggest trying to get the foam level about 4cm below the edge of that inner tube.... Then the skimmer would/should really work well.

Hey Sammy looking good there  I like your "topless" look. Is that a MH light fitting in the background? I got myself the exact same skimmer also still busy fine tuning mine. I installed mine on the back of the tank. Will send you some pics when I got mine sorted. I agree with Jacques for some reason most of the skimmers need to be "Run In" or needs a week or two to settle in. My TS1 and TS2 did the same thing.

Hey guys, yes that is a MH clip on, 150w DE, i'm not planning to leave the skimmer on the side, just connected it in a rush and gonna mount it at the back after i mod it to compensate for the clip on .
