@irie ivan, experimenting with O3 delivery, is it better through an air stone or through a protein skimmer, a glass air stone will not break down in ozone.

Sorry no mine is all gone. Not sure if a Diffusor would work though as they normally need high
pressure to get the gas through the ceramic disk.

Eish, that's cool! Have a high pressure pump that should be enough, pushes out about 4psi.

Why dont you try one of those wooden airstones... They release extremely fine bubbles & im sure they wont oxidize from the O3...
Only know of one petstore that still sells them. Will pm you if youre interested.

yes you do get them. called glass bead airstone. Hagen is the supplier. Its a product from ELITE. Hagen is the distributor located in Durban, but you can get your LFS to order you one if they are registered dealer with Hagen.

or else get it from ebay

Ok let's start from the beginning .... You wana add ozone right???

1.You cannot add ozone directly to the tank
2.You need a reaction chamber hense ozone reactor/skimmer
    3.Skimmer must be ozone friendly
4.You need to run carbon inline with reactor/skimmer to remove excess ozone from entering water coloum
5.For most effectiveness use an air dryer before ozone
6.Best hooked up and controller by a MV controler

So end result is,I doubt an airstone is gna even be necesary.....

Agreed, I shouldv said 'optional' as a disaster pevention.... I used it for more reasons than ozone, but it was always in chamber after ozone, just in case;) and with a mv controler its almost imposible to overdose ozone .... I used it on a timer for 2hrs a day without a controler,so had an airline drilled into skimmer and led outside, and carbon @ exit.... Incase of overdose

Ozone is extremely corrosive stuff and extremely dangerous to have around the house with kids etc. The quality of the 03 produced by units sold for the aquarium trade is also questionable.

Hence me drilling an airline for excess to be passed outside and carbon on tank exit to absorb excess in water column .... I wouldn say 'extremely dangerous' as only huge amts inhaled over a long time causes nausea and headache ,that's it ....

Nope - its extremely dangerous. It is being dosed in small quantities at WWTW instead of chlorine gas to sterilize the water on discharge. I have seen a guy get airlifted off a site due to inhaling 03 during an installation - the guy must have been in the room no more than 3 or 4 minutes.
