    Hi Sponsors,

The Zoology department of the University of the Free State is looking for a decent skimmer for their 1.2m (400 liter) mixed reef tank (which has been running skimmerless since they started it some 2 years ago).

Can anyone interested in supplying please send me details of the skimmer/s you have on offer for this size system, and a quotation, by PM. I will then contact the successful bidder to finalise details :)

As usual, the department is low on finances, and I will probably have to subsidise this purchase, so if you could supply at a decent price it will be much appreciated.

    Hennie

Come on everybody, in appreciation for all the help that Hennie gives us, let's all club in R50 each to help fund this skimmer for Hennie and the varsity.

    R50 from me.

One condition, we need to see a pic of the tank ;)

    Thanks, everyone

This is really not necessary - I gladly gave those frags away without expecting any future reward for them. Of course, if anyone else wants to make a donation to the university it will be highly appreciated, but you really don't need to feel obliged because of the frags...

I will be finalizing the skimmer make & model in the next few days, and will post some photos of the tank after the next weekend (need to go and take the photos on Saturday afternoon, if possible...)

Thanks again, everyone. I've had a rather hectic week (and weekend...) and have not finalized anything yet :p

I would preferably like to install an external skimmer, capable of being fed directly from the tank's overflow. Lanzo has given me some prices on internal skimmers (Thanks, Lanzo (Dorry Pets), and at a VERY GOOD price too ), but I'm still waiting to hear if he has any recirculating external skimmers...
