Hi all im new to the forum.
I have a 410 L fresh water set up and im in the proces of converting to marine.
I have made my sump and it is running fine. The one problem i am having is getting my proten skimmer working wright. keep getting water in my top cup. Think i have to much bubbles coming up. (help)
One more thing were is the best place in JHB to get live rock from.
    Thanks.

Hi and welcome. Sounds like the skimmer is skimming too "wet". Is there a way to adjust the skimmer? Post a pic of the skimmer...

    Welcome to masa!
You dont need to connect an air pump, the skimmer pump will draw enough air. You want as many fine bubbles as possible. Smaller bubbles create more surface area and thus more efficient skimming

interesting enough, I put a little air valve at the end of my silencer of my skimmer and the skimate I got was UNBELIEVABLE as it allowd the bubbles to be even more tiny !
