Hey Guys..........

So after shutting down my VLEIS NANO, i wanted to exit the whole reefing scene for a while. But the Vaalies just convinced me to stay in the game, even if its with a PICO.......

PICO = ULIMATE CHALLANGE ACCEPTED............................

So @RealReefer built us both a pico tank......

Size : 300mm (l) x 350mm (w) x 300mm (h)
Light : Zetlight 1201L (overclock addition, cuz standard is boring) @Claundyke thank brushki
Filtration : Rubble rock , filter sponge, Filter Whool & some REALREEF carbon...
Rock : Purple man made rock from @JungleAquatics
ATO : Single dosing head with float switch, @RealReefer will be building that for us/me

Im doing a 5l (20%) water change every Sunday.

I hope that will keep the parameters in check..... Not much consuming at the moment

Hehehheeh i need to keep myself positive with all the swings in this water volume

Had issue with temp in the begining, wanted to run at 25deg, but settled with 26.3deg, least temp swing there....

Just a Return pump, can see the LPS swinging leke in the flow. I think its okay for LPS...

With me trying to keep the temp to 25deg, i added a little usb fan (powered by the TV)...... BIG PROBLEM. hehehehe

I had a lot of evaporation & almost resorted to a DIY ATO, had to top up every 4hrs.. Return chamber to small for that kind of waterloss

I am using a USB fan to cool my nano down too, heat wave pushed it up to 30 degrees on the weekend.
You can use a cellphone charger that has the removable USB cable, most Samsungs come with them, using mine from my previous phone

Hehehhehe oh. Lucky me the ambient temp in the house didnt go above 27deg & the tank stayed put........

When i tried to lower the temp to 25deg i got to much evap, so now running at 26.3deg...

another way to cool your tank, take a "buddy coke bottle" full it with water and properly tight, Freeze it and place it in your tank/sump, freeze quite a few to prepare to the heat wave.

Okay just got some bad news from the wife... She found the manderin dead.....

I believe it might have been an ammonia spike, ill test tonight.... Manderin looks fat & healthy, was fine last night. Really think got the spike from overfeeding cyclops....
