mmm interesting, so it would be the same as for EG: centropyge biospinousis but depending on area collected it would vary in colouration...

wonder how this one would fair with the rose anemone in the same system?

It's my understanding that they are both BTA so there shouldn't be any "chemical warefare" regardless of the colouring...in the end it's still a BTA..same Species..

not too sure about that, i know a guy that propogates RBTA's and when he introduced a green his entire stock collapsed.. it was thought to be due to the chemical warefare of the 2 differing strains.. hence my question..

thank you for your input.. i do appreciate the response..;)

You could be right..guess "sometimes" might just be one time to many..probably then better to err on the side of caution...unless you have a Tank big enough to accommidate the 2...

Nah it turned out at the end of the day it was something else intirely...Shaun told me but I can't remember what it was.

What I do know is though...my previous RBTA stayed put for 9 months and a week after adding a GBTA my anem moved...coincidence? Maybe...or could there have been issues with the two?

I have seen tanks overseas with lots of red an green mixed together without issues.

nothing wrong with those, seems like he is hammering them of drop shot too:)

that is a beat of a bubble tip, i had a similar one which i sold, only to go see it 5 months later bleached and shrunk, battling to hang onto life.

from what I have experienced with the two coloured bta (personal experience only) is that you need to supplimentary feed small pieces fairly often and the need a good PROTECTED foot hold. More so than a GBTA.

Its great news to hear yours has inflated and looking well, just good water (lower nitrates) good flow and medium to striong lighting, fed once wevery two or three days and you will have it growing in no time
