Shit Tony I'm so sorry dude. Recently lost one of my clowns. Pet and I came home to find him wedged between the glass and a stocking that had gravel in it.... :-( I feel your pain. Surprised me how bleak I was.

    Sorry to hear.

Just remember they do have all the diseases and health problems we suffer. It could easily be some internal organ or other health problem. An autopsy and tests might tell you why. (but THE COSTS!!!!!)

If you gave him a good home and ensured you have catered to all his needs, feel proud and make sure that if you replace him that the new fish get the best in water, food and care.

But aways have a debriefing on possible reasons (like you did) to ensure that if it was your mistake, you do not repeat it again.

Ok now I need some serious help I just got home to find one of my clown dead. I have done water tests about 10 times and everything is right. only thing I can think of is that I sprayed peaceful sleep for the mozzies last night and the night before. could this be the problem??

could be Tony, your skimmer will suck up the stuff and push it into the water. Never spray ANYTHING close to your tank.

Sorry about your problems, if you get stuck give me a shout

This will not be the cause, a lot of people run their tanks on kH of 10

    That could be.
    Are you running carbon?
    What is your salinity?
What do use for evapouration top ups?
Is your test kits still ok? Not expired?

Are you running carbon? No carbon loads of LR rubble. in chamber 2
    What is your salinity? 1.024
What do use for evapouration top ups? RO
Is your test kits still ok? Not expired? Checked the expiry date all still 100%.

I have moved the remaining fish out of the tank and into my big tank. then i did a +-25% water change. will wait and see what
