Every few weeks my pair of mandarins spawn and every time they do, I say to myself, Self, I don't think a fish could get any more pregnant than her. But every month, just when I think she is going to explode, she spawns.
I used to think she was egg bound but she always pulls through and has her babies. I am not sure if she gets stretch marks or not.

what do you do with the babies ? I have built one of those feeders you have in the last picture but my mandarin does not seem interested in it as yet ... the yellow-tailed damsels however seem to love eating the tiny shrimp that emerge. This worries me that the mandarin does not get any food but I do see him pecking at the rocks all the time so I assume he is eating. Maybe he just prefers it when the pods are on the rocks ?

VICza, I am not sure why your mandarin doesn't use the feeder but he may once it loses it's new color. They are not crazy about new things and it will get some growth on it and it should work better.
All my paired fish are spawning including bangai cardinals, pipefish, 2 pairs of cardinals, clown gobies and fireclowns, if I were to raise all those fish, I wouldn't have time for boating or anything else like stare at Supermodels.

Nothing is for sale. I have never sold anything from my tank but I will give stuff away. I am not going to raise the fry as all my paired fish spawn all the time and it would be a full time job to raise them.
If I ever decide to raise them. I will give them to people who I think can take care of them correctly.
